Three beautiful, totally natural ponds nestled into the "dish" in the bluffs high above the eastern shore of Lake Willoughby. Bob and I visited these ponds on the 28th of September 2014 - a sunny, warm day very near peak colors, at least up there around the ponds.
We capped off the ride with a stop at the Brownington Observation Tower. A good move, it was the day for it! Photos below.

Lake Willoughby and its cliffs, from the Brownington Observation Tower, looking south.

In the photo, the bluffs to your right are the eastern shore of Lake Willoughby. In the depression to the left of the bluffs there are a series of pristine natual ponds.

That's the back bay, Newport, VT, and Lake Memphremagog in the distance. The peak to the left is Mount Orford, Quebec.
