

This view is back towards Derby Line to the west from the lower part of Nelson Hill Road. The other end of Nelson Hill Road is also paved, but in between the ends the surface is mostly gravel surface. The gravel is where the best views are.
In the distance you can see Lake Memphremagog and the mountains to the west.

There are many gravel roads in Vermont that run north and south along ridge lines. Mead Hill Road, shown here, is typical. There are many West Hill and East Hill roads in Vermont. Mead Hill Road in on the west side and accordingly has views of the sun going down behind the Green Mountains.



The gravel road between Morgan Center and East Charleston passes by Echo Lake and makes a circle all the way around the lake.
