
Here are a few shots taken from the second floor of the house of a foxy prowling a woods line and looking for a meal.
The fallen trees in the background are spruce that got blown over in the 1998 wind storm.



There's an over-hanging ledge on one of the rock formations at the bottom of the escarpment that foxes often use a birthing den. It's too open to be considered a cave, but it's dry and sheltered from the prevailing southwest wind.
Kits often climb up the hillside to hang out and play along the sunny and relatively flat portion of the driveway there. On the way home from school during the first few weeks of June the kids and I would frequently come across them lying about in the sun and playing with each other.

The kits were never terribly bothered by the car and we could kill the engine and enjoy the show.
