Fawns and Doe, Part 1: Summertime

Does seem to regard the vicinity of the house as a relatively safe environment. We are not a threat, and predators such as coyotes and dogs generally keep their distance from human habitation.

In any case, it's not unusual for a doe to drop the kids off somewhere around the house for an hour or two while they go off foraging and scouting - or perhaps even having a little nap themself!

Sleepy Fawns

These fawns began feeling quite sleepy as they waited for mom's return.

Doe and Fawns
